  Notes	He was a member of the Ginninderra Cricket Club. was appointed a probationary constable in the NSW Police Service on 5th May 1892. His registration # was 6397. In the official records, his personal details were: He was 5'9", weighed 11st 7lbs had hazel coloured eyes and brown hair with a fallow complexion. By the time he had joined the force, he was already married and had been previously employed as a farmer's shearer. His original rate of pay was roughly £9 per month. I tracked David through the Pay Register of the NSW Police force, seeing his rate of pay increase as his rank did. Firstly to an Ordinary constable then to a 1st Class constable. At this stage of his career, he was earning approximately £12 per month. He retired from the NSW Police force on 31st May 1916, aged 55, when he was serving at Orange, New South Wales and was paid police superannuation.
